To our patients, friends and family:

New regulations from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, in response to the COVID-19 state of emergency, mandate that dental facilities without access to the most sophisticated environmental controls, like negative pressure isolation rooms, must cease all physical operations. The Pennsylvania Dental Association has indicated that there is not a single dental facility, including dental schools, in the state of Pennsylvania that can meet these requirements. While the PDA is currently working with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to allow us to resume operations, we expect our office to be closed through April 5th.

During this time, we are prohibited from physically treating patients, even in an emergency. Though we cannot see patients in our office, I will triage emergencies over the phone and coordinate care with select area hospitals, in cases of extreme emergency. Please call our office at 215-860-4141 and listen to the prompts to be connected to the emergency paging system.

On a personal note, our team misses our patients dearly and hopes that you are all staying well. We know that many of you and your business have also been impacted by the “essential business only” and “stay-at-home” orders and wish that, for our entire community, we may safely resume our daily routines in the near future.

In the meantime, we have donated surgical masks and gloves to area healthcare facilities and hospitals in great need of personal protective equipment, as their resources have been quickly depleted by the COVID-19 healthcare crisis.

While we must all do our part to “flatten the curve” and mitigate the risk of person-to-person contact, by staying home, we do look forward to seeing you soon.

If you had a scheduled appointment prior to April 5th, it has been cancelled. You will receive a phone call or text message from our Patient Care Team to reschedule your appointment, when we resume office operations. For non-urgent requests, you may leave a message in our general office voicemail. You may also email us at PatientCare@NewtownDentalArts.com.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during these unprecedented, challenging times. This remains a fluid situation, which we will continue to monitor and will send updates as necessary.

We hope you will join us in staying home and staying healthy.

Very sincerely,

Dr. Renée Feldsher and team
